Magic Marinara Sauce

from the kitchen of Chef Paul Prudhomme

Makes 26 cups or 52, ½ cup (4 oz) portions

This is a School Nutrition bulk recipe.
¾ cup olive oil blend
4 cups chopped onions
16 cups (1 #10 can) crushed tomatoes
4 cups water
12 ounces tomato paste, canned
4 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 cup Chef Paul Prudhomme's Herbal Pizza & Pasta Magic®
how to prepare
Heat the oil in a saucepan over high heat. Add the onions. Cook, stirring frequently, until onions are translucent, about 4 minutes. Add the Herbal Pizza & Pasta Magic and stir well for 1 minute, then add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer, stirring frequently, until tomatoes are thick and pasty, about 45 minutes. As the mixture thickens, scrape the saucepan frequently to prevent sticking.
